솔직한 가사와 유려한 플로우로 힙합 서바이벌 프로그램 <Show Me The Money 6>에서 스포트라이트를 독식했던 우원재는 방송 이후 발매한 싱글 [시차 (We Are)]를 통해 단숨에 음원 강자로 발돋움하며 제15회 한국 대중음악상 '최우수 힙합&랩 노래', 2018 한국 힙합 어워즈 '올해의 힙합 트랙' 등의 상을 거머쥐며 대중과 평단으로부터 호평을 받았다.
이후 싱글 [불안], EP [af], 싱글 [호불호] 등의 본인의 작업물과 스윙스, 기리보이, ADOY, CIFIKA, 김오키 등 다양한 실력파 뮤지션들과의 협업을 통해 그 음악성을 인정받아온 우원재는 2020년 첫 정규 [BLACK OUT]과, 2022년 1월 발매한 싱글 [Uniform]을 통해 본인만의 독보적인 음악적 스타일을 구축, 다시 한번 평단과 국내외 음악 팬들의 이목을 사로잡았다.
Before his debut, Woo appeared in the rap competition TV show <Show Me the Money 6>, which led to his breakout debut single [We Are] that topped all mainstream music charts in Korea for weeks, and he even won many awards like ‘Track of the Year’ in the 2018 Korean Hip-Hop Awards.
Since then, Woo released the single [Anxiety], the EP [af], the single [Taste] and collaborated with many talented fellow artists such as Swings, GIRIBOY, ADOY, CIFIKA and KimOki. He captured the audience with his unique presence and proved his potential as an artist through his first full album [BLACK OUT] and the single [Uniform].
